A soulbound (non-transferable) token on Ethereum that documents every donation to the democratic movement: 1 BDT = 1 EUR donated. Funds go to a single fund and are distributed to vetted initiatives by sectoral councils under fixed shares.

What BDT is

Belarus Democracy Token is a receipt, not an asset. When you donate to the democratic movement of Belarus, a non-transferable token is credited to your wallet: 1 BDT = 1 EUR donated. It cannot be sold, transferred or lost to anyone else — this is blocked in the contract code, not by policy. The record lives permanently on Ethereum mainnet.

A wallet is optional. Your donation is confirmed by a receipt immediately; the on-chain entry is added later in weekly batches, if and when you add an address.

How it works

  1. Donate — bank transfer, card or crypto through a licensed provider.
  2. Confirmation — the donation is entered in the foundation's registry; you receive a receipt.
  3. Grants to initiatives — funds are distributed as grants to vetted initiatives, with public aggregate reporting. No funds go to private persons.
  4. BDT record — the token is credited to your wallet.

Where the money goes

All donations go to a single Fund under the United Transitional Cabinet and are distributed by fixed sectoral shares, modelled on the structure of European state budgets:

Share Sector
30 % Democratic governance institutions
30 % Social sphere, including education
20 % Independent media
20 % Culture and national identity

Each sector has a sectoral council (rada) — organisations of the sector plus independent experts — which decides which projects get funded. Every project has fixed KPIs.

Recognition levels

  • Standard — from €100: participant mark, entry in the registry.
  • Priority — from €10 000: extended mark of recognition.
  • Institutional — from €100 000: recognition of organisations and major donors.

Levels grant no advantages and create no rights; they are a form of gratitude. A future democratic state is sovereign and independent of the issuer; it may take the fact of a donation into consideration — the token is one documentary confirmation among others.

Privacy and legal design

On-chain: wallet address, BDT balance, date and amount of each accrual. Never on-chain: names, contacts, country, payment data, or the link between a person and an address.

The legal architecture was designed so that BDT does not qualify as a financial activity under Polish law or as a crypto-asset under EU MiCA: the token holds no monetary value, cannot be exchanged, and donations are irrevocable.
